On May 10, local time, Apple announced that it would allocate 45 million US dollars to Corning from its Advanced Manufacturing Fund. The funding will expand Corning's manufacturing capabilities in the United States and promote the research and development of innovative technologies to support product durability and longevity.

In the past four years, Corning has received $450 million in funding from Apple. Apple's investment helped support Corning's operations in Kentucky and more than 1,000 jobs in other factories. This investment also promoted the research and development of advanced glass technology, which gave birth to the super-ceramic panels used in the iPhone 12 series.
